SYNC week
Students will attend start your new classes (SYNC) week at the end of November in preparation for their 2017 studies. For VCE English subjects, students must have the prescribed textbooks for the SYNC program as work will be set from them. Our "early" resource list will help with the purchase of these textbooks for English (units 1-4), English language (units 1-4) and literature (units 1-4).

Hard copies of the list have been given to students. Items may be bought from the Campion Education store or ordered online on www.campion.com.au using the code BY3X. All items are home delivered (charges apply).  For delivery in time for SYNC week, orders must be made by tomorrow.

Snake awareness
As the weather warms up, snakes will be moving around and we must be mindful of their potential presence in our school. Do not:

  • Approach or aggravate a snake
  • Attempt to kill a snake
  • Enter any garden beds or areas of vegetation around the school ie: to retrieve downballs
  • Leave any external doors open
You must:
  • Immediately tell staff if you see a snake.
  • Go to unpopulated areas of the school (agricultural area, chicken coup dam) in groups of 3 or more  (with a teacher's permission - reason being: one person to stay with the injured person, another to send for help.
Click here for information about treating snake bites.

St Patrick's Primary School fete
St Patrick's is holding a combined art show and fete on Saturday, November 19 from noon to 5pm. There'll be a petting farm, jumping castles, face painting, pony rides and other show-type attractions.

The canteen will be open with Devonshire teas, a sausage sizzle and show bags. A car boot sale will be held on the oval with 35 stall holders. Radio OKR FM will broadcast from the event. Student artwork will be displayed in the school's main corridor and there'll be lots of entertainment.
